Love Your City

Tacoma, we have high expectations.

We expect the City of Destiny to live up to its name.

We expect that when 1200+ residents show up to collectively say “Hell No!” to a methanol plant which would use up to 20,000 gallons of water per minute BEFORE expanding operations further, city leaders would be responsive to our concerns.

We expect that leaders not pass the blame to others or call for “more study”in public while writing letters of approval regarding fracked gas storage facilities in order to secure funding for their next campaign. We expect that as citizens, we can hold signs and distribute information showing the dangers of a proposed project without being escorted from the premises, especially if the LLC standing to profit from the lease is allowed to do so.

We expect the cronyism, corruption, and closed-door deal-making to stop.

This is our city. And this is the year we take it back.

Next Public Scoping Meeting will be at the Tacoma Convention Center on Feb. 24. Doors open at 5 p.m. See you there.
